Ways of Something

Ways of Something was commissioned, compiled and curated by artist Lorna Mills as part of her 2014 commission for the Sandberg Institute. Isabella was invited to contribute a minute to Episode 2. In response to John Berger’s text, Isabella made her minute by asking youtube how to be a woman, and collaging appropriated analogue video. The complete 4 episodes have shown all over the world and Ways of Something was voted best internet artwork of 2014 by hyperallergic.

Ways of Something has been exhibited and screened internationally including (pictured here) at the Whitney Museum of American Art, The Wrong Digital Art Biennial, PAF 2014 and Transfer Gallery New York. Not pictured: Moving Image Istanbul, Western Front, Transmediale, The Photographer’s Gallery, HeK Basel, Carnegie Museum, Museum of the Moving Image NYC and more.
